Mahatma Gandhi is father of our nation
And British-free India is mainly his creation.

He believed in Ahimsa which is non-violence
And achieved miracles through satyagraha and silence.

His Charkha taught people about self-reliance
And brought Khadi into prominence.


Those days when treating untouchables well was considered odd
He taught us that Harijans were the Children of God.

In a world where people are selfish, unfeeling and mostly deal with lies
His inspirational leadership tells us that there is happiness in sacrifice.

Hum saare hai bhai bhai
Gandhiji ko hum yaad kare
Maan mein hum vishwas bhare
Honge saach sapne sunahare.
